Best in KLAS 2020 Overall

– Epic was named the top Overall Software Suite for the tenth consecutive year in the Best in KLAS 2020 Software & Services report.

– Pivot Point Consulting, a Vaco Company, was named the top Overall IT Services Firm, edging out last year’s winner, Impact Advisors.

– Accenture earned the award of top Overall Healthcare Management Consulting Firm.

Today, KLAS Research announced released their annual Best in KLAS Software & Services that recognizes the leading vendors for solutions, services, and management consulting offered in the United States. Best in KLAS rankings and scores is based on information obtained from the approximately 2,500 interviews KLAS conducts with providers and payers each month.

Defining What Is 2020 Best in KLAS

Best in KLAS is awarded only in those software and services market segments that have the broadest operational and clinical impact on healthcare organizations.

Category Leader is reserved for use in select, niche market segments that don’t qualify for Best in KLAS but in which at least two products meet minimum KLAS data levels. Like Best in KLAS winners, vendors awarded Category Leader also stands out for helping healthcare organizations deliver quality patient care.

Overall Software Suite is reserved for those vendors that provide a suite of products clients would purchase to address their core IT needs. Vendors that have both a fully rated clinical and financial system, as well as ancillary systems, qualify for this overall suite ranking. Additional detail has been provided around how each vendor performs against the other enterprise suites and against the various ancillary markets in which a vendor has a product offering currently rated by KLAS.

Annually, these interviews represent the opinions of healthcare professionals and clinicians from more than 4,500 hospitals and 2,500 clinics and account for 1,200 products and services from more than 450 vendors.

Category Adjustments for 2020

HIT Staffing becomes an additional Best in KLAS segment this year. Updates to Category Leader segments include Data Archiving, Drug Diversion Monitoring, EMR Based Interoperability Solutions, Identity & Access Management, Interoperability Platforms, Oncology – Radiation, Patient Financing Services, Payer IT Consulting Services, Remote Patient Monitoring, Revenue Cycle – Contract Management, and Revenue Integrity/Underpayment Services.

Overall Best in KLAS Awards

Epic was named the top Overall Software Suite for the tenth consecutive year in the Best in KLAS 2020 Software & Services report, released today. Additionally, Epic was named the top Overall Physician Practice Vendor, won Best in KLAS awards in eight segments, and won Category Leader awards in four segments. Pivot Point Consulting, a Vaco Company, was named the top Overall IT Services Firm, edging out last year’s winner, Impact Advisors. Accenture earned the award of top Overall Healthcare Management Consulting Firm.

Most Improved Software Product: CPSI

This year, CPSI won Most Improved Overall Software. Customers saw the largest improvement in overall score greater than any software product KLAS rates. Along with some clients’ high optimism, CPSI’s earnest efforts to improve their product and resolve customer issues are largely responsible for the increase in the solution’s overall score.

Most Improved Physician Practice Product: Cerner Practice Management

Cerner Practice Management won the honor of being the Most Improved Physician Practice Product. Small physician practices using Cerner Practice Management reports a 10% increase in overall satisfaction; satisfaction in all areas measured by KLAS has also increased. These practices describe the system as a solid technology platform and have seen improved relationships with Cerner.

2020 Overall Software Suite Rankings

The Overall Software Suite ranking is reserved for those vendors that provide a suite of products clients would purchase to address their core IT needs. Vendors that have both a fully rated clinical and financial system qualify for this overall suite ranking.

Best in KLAS 2020

2020 Overall Physician Practice Vendor Rankings

The Overall Physician Practice vendor ranking is reserved for those vendors that have an ambulatory EMR and/or practice management system that meets the minimum KLAS Konfidence level in multiple practice size groups.

2020 Overall IT Services Firm Rankings

The Overall IT Services firm ranking is reserved for those firms that have a minimum of three separate IT services that meet the minimum KLAS Konfidence level in three separate market segments.

2020 Overall Healthcare Management Consulting Firm Rankings

The Healthcare Management Consulting market segment is comprised of five consulting areas: Value-Based Care; Financial Improvement; Strategy, Growth, and Consolidation; Human Capital; and Consumer Engagement.

“Providers and payers demand better performance, usability, and interoperability from their vendor partners every year,” says Adam Gale, President of KLAS. “Best in KLAS winners set the standard of excellence in their market segment. Earning a Best in KLAS award should both excite and humble the recipients. It serves as a signal to providers that they can expect the best from the winning vendors.”
