IntelyCare Acquires CareRev to Unify Acute and Post-Acute Staffing

What You Should Know:

– IntelyCare has acquired CareRev, creating a comprehensive clinical labor platform that spans both acute and post-acute care. Led by CEO Matthew Levesque, the combined company offers a unified technology solution for managing internal resource pools, contingent labor, and permanent staff.

– This acquisition aims to reduce operational complexity for health systems while providing clinicians with a flexible, “full-spectrum” talent platform to manage their careers across diverse care settings. Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed.

The “Unified Labor” Strategy: Bridging the Continuum

For years, healthcare staffing has been siloed: firms specialized in either “Nursing Home” (post-acute) or “Hospital” (acute) staffing. This fragmentation forced health systems to manage multiple vendors and disconnected data streams. The IntelyCare-CareRev merger eliminates this friction.

  • Integrated Platform: The combined entity offers clinician-facing job boards, recruiter/sourcing solutions, and—crucially—internal resource pool management.
  • Operational Scale: By merging CareRev’s 35,000+ acute-care professionals with IntelyCare’s massive post-acute network, the company can now support 25 million+ covered lives through a more flexible, technology-enabled workforce.
  • Brand Continuity: Both organizations will continue to operate under their established brands, ensuring zero disruption for the clinicians and facilities currently relying on the apps.

Total Talent Partners

The 2026 market is moving away from “contingent-only” models. With backing from LRVHealth and Transformation Capital, IntelyCare is positioning itself as a “Total Talent” partner for health systems. As hospitals face increasing pressure to lower costs while managing “unprecedented workforce complexity,” the ability to toggle between permanent hiring and on-demand staffing within one dashboard will be a critical competitive advantage.

“Health systems are under enormous pressure to deliver high-quality care while managing unprecedented workforce complexity. By bringing IntelyCare and CareRev together, we’re creating a more integrated and reliable way for facilities to manage permanent staff, internal resource pools, and contingent labor through a single tech platform,” said Matthew Levesque, CEO, IntelyCare and CareRev. “Our goal is to help healthcare providers operate more efficiently while maintaining consistency and quality across care settings.”
