Capital Rx Rebrands as Judi Health, Announces $400M Investment for Expansion

What You Should Know:

– Capital Rx, Inc., an enterprise health technology company, has announced a significant milestone: a $400M investment, including a $252M Series F funding round. The company is also rebranding as Judi Health™.

– The new name is intended to reflect its expanded capabilities as a full-service health benefits technology company. The investment was led by Wellington Management and General Catalyst, with participation from several other firms.

Addressing the Inefficiencies and Rising Costs of Healthcare

The rebranding and new funding come at a pivotal moment for the healthcare industry. The U.S. is facing a projected nearly 9% jump in healthcare costs in 2026, marking the sharpest increase in over a decade. Despite this, health outcomes for Americans are getting worse, and a lack of transparency often results in delayed or deferred care.

A Platform for Unified Health Benefits

The oversubscribed financing round will enable Judi Health to expand its PBM operations and deploy its Enterprise Health Platform (EHP). This platform will offer a full suite of services to employers through a variety of brands:

  • Capital Rx: Will continue to operate as a transparent PBM with a flat-fee-based pricing model.
  • Judi Health™: The full-service health benefit management platform that integrates unified care navigation for pharmacy, medical, vision, and dental benefits.
  • Judi®: The company’s purpose-built EHP that provides administrative workflows for millions of plan members.

“We’ve seen unprecedented demand for Capital Rx, our transparent pharmacy benefit offering, and with the introduction of Judi Health, we are able to help our customers also administrate medical, dental, and vision benefits on a single platform,” said Chief Executive Officer AJ Loiacono and Chief Technology Officer Ryan Kelly. “The U.S. healthcare ecosystem has far too many ‘rent seekers’ inflating costs, hiding fees, and delivering substandard care due to a combination of misalignment and a reliance on antiquated technology. Judi Health is not just the promise of better care; it is the technology that powers the future of U.S. healthcare.”
