What You Should Know:

– Rendever, a virtual reality (VR) company focused on enhancing the lives of older adults, announced a partnership with Lenovo to bring VR experiences to patients at Carolina Caring, a non-profit healthcare provider.

– The strategic collaboration aims to improve the quality of life for seniors by offering them immersive and engaging VR experiences, even if their physical mobility is limited.

Expanding Seniors’ Horizons Through VR

Rendever’s VR platform, in conjunction with Lenovo’s ThinkReality VRX headset, creates an all-in-one solution specifically designed for senior living communities. The ThinkReality VRX headset offers six degrees of freedom, full-color visuals, and high-resolution experiences, allowing seniors to virtually visit faraway locations, revisit cherished memories, or even explore the wonders of the natural world.

Over the past year, Rendever and Lenovo have worked together to develop a seamless VR solution readily available for senior care facilities. Rendever’s award-winning VR experiences, combined with Lenovo’s user-friendly hardware, create a powerful tool for caregivers and clinicians.

Rendever’s National Presence Expands to Carolina Caring

Rendever’s VR platform is currently used in over 700 senior living communities across the United States. With the addition of Carolina Caring, even more seniors will have the opportunity to experience the enriching world of VR.

This partnership signifies a growing trend in senior care, where technology is being leveraged to improve the well-being and quality of life for older adults. VR experiences offer a unique opportunity to connect seniors with the world around them, fostering a sense of connection and engagement, regardless of physical limitations.

“It’s been incredible to see our patients interact with each other and virtually explore parts of the world they’ve never been able to before with this holistic approach and see how it positively impacts their wellbeing. For example, we’ve seen anxious patients with tremors become at ease during a VR session. Our caregivers and clinicians can easily integrate the technology into our programming and offer these special moments to our patients,” said Kelly Tate, VP of Community Relations at Carolina Caring.
