Cerner Integrated EHR Implementation Details
CRHS will transition to Cerner Millennium EHR platform designed to support an individual’s care journey – from the doctor’s office to the hospital and outpatient clinics – with consistent patient engagement. The Cerner Millennium system will provide CRHS staff with a digital record of their patients’ health history, including clinical and financial data. Clinicians will have a more complete, near real-time view of an individual’s heath. Through the new online patient portal, people will be able to securely message doctors, schedule appointments, view and settle balances and access their health history.
Cerner Millennium will also support improved interoperability and communication between CRHS and parent hospital network Atrium Health. With CRHS and Atrium Health on the same integrated EHR, they will be able to share clinical and financial data to create a more streamlined experience for patients and clinicians. The implementation of CernerCommunityWorks leverages cloud technology to deliver the power of Cerner Millennium, tailored to support the unique needs of community, critical access and specialty hospitals. CommunityWorks will support CRHS’s 154-bed hospital and 10 clinics as it works to improve the overall health of the community. CRHS offers comprehensive care to the Columbus County community, including an emergency department, critical care unit and urgent care center, as well as primary care services and more.
With the additional implementation of Cerner’s Clinically Driven Revenue Cycle™ solutions, CRHS clinicians will be able to view clinical and financial data in one patient record. In addition, CRHS will benefit from documentation that can improve reimbursement and limit claims errors.
