Intermountain Health Partners with NeuroFlow to Improve Behavioral Health Integration in Primary Care

What You Should Know:

– Intermountain Health announced a partnership with NeuroFlow, a company specializing in behavioral health technology and analytics.

–  The strategic collaboration aims to proactively identify and address behavioral health needs within Intermountain’s primary care patient population in Colorado.

Behavioral Health Integration in Primary Care

People with combined physical and behavioral health conditions often experience higher healthcare costs. Effectively integrating and addressing behavioral health into primary care is crucial for better patient outcomes. However, achieving this proactively and efficiently at scale presents significant challenges. Intermountain will leverage NeuroFlow’s scalable technology and analytics platform to identify potential behavioral health risks within their primary care population in Colorado. This targeted approach will focus on areas with a higher concentration of patients who can benefit from the technology.

Benefits for Patients and Providers:

  • Early identification: NeuroFlow’s platform will help healthcare providers identify behavioral health needs early, allowing for timely interventions and improved patient outcomes.
  • Reduced burden on providers: The technology streamlines the process of understanding patient needs, freeing up valuable time for providers to focus on delivering care.
  • Enhanced support: Patients will gain access to relevant digital resources and potentially receive high-touch interventions based on their specific needs.
  • Suicide prevention: NeuroFlow will integrate suicide prevention services, including outreach from trained crisis professionals, for Intermountain Health patients.

“Capturing accurate behavioral health data at scale can be incredibly challenging, particularly when organizations rely on in-person screenings alone,” says Jeremy Kreyling, Senior Vice President of Healthcare Informatics at NeuroFlow. “We built this platform to engage patients through a variety of digital touchpoints and leverage sophisticated AI analysis to understand acuity in real time. Having actionable population insights unlocks new opportunities for organizations like Intermountain to increase enrollment and engagement in integrated care programs, with an added layer of outreach for patients experiencing suicide ideation.”
