– Hummingbird Healthcare Inc., a tech-driven healthcare services company raises $10M in Series A funding led by UCHealth, a leading Colorado-based health system and existing investor. The round also included participation from CU Healthcare Innovation Fund, 8VC, and Gaingels.

– With this new funding, Hummingbird is poised to expand its reach and empower healthcare providers to deliver exceptional patient experiences.

Focus on Patient Access and Operational Efficiency

Hummingbird operates as a managed services company, leveraging technology to elevate patient access to healthcare. Their services empower providers to focus on patient care by:

  • Standardizing Patient Access Services: Hummingbird standardizes primary care and specialty access services across integrated contact centers.
  • Optimizing Technology: The company focuses on maximizing the potential of existing healthcare technology platforms, like Epic, to streamline operations.
  • Improved Contact Center Management: Hummingbird implements strategies to enhance contact center performance and efficiency.

“In the U.S. we’ve invested more than $70 billion in digital health in the past five years ¹. And today, only about 6% of appointments are made online. Technology alone can’t solve our access problems,” said Jeremy Schwach, Hummingbird’s CEO. “As a result, we’re focused on partnering with healthcare organizations to do the hard work under the hood to truly unlock the power of new technologies, automation, and AI.”
