Sonu Sleep Bands

What You Should Know

  • The Collaboration: Vivos Therapeutics, a leader in sleep breathing treatments, has partnered with SoundHealth to distribute AI-enabled wearables across its network of 2,000+ providers.
  • The Tech: The partnership focuses on two devices: the Sonu Band (FDA-cleared for nasal congestion/rhinitis) and the Spatial Sleep™ band. Both use “vibro-acoustic neuromodulation”—vibrations derived from a personalized 3D anatomical model—to open airways and induce sleep.
  • The Innovation: Unlike standard wearables, SoundHealth’s app uses a smartphone camera to generate CT-quality facial scans and analyzes voice biomarkers to track airway health in real-time.

The “Hardware” Partnership

Under the agreement, Vivos will act as a reseller, pushing SoundHealth’s devices through its clinical channels. This is a strategic play for Vivos, allowing them to offer a “soft” entry point for patients who might not yet need their flagship oral appliances but still suffer from congestion or insomnia.

The deal centers on two devices:

  1. Sonu Band: An FDA-cleared wearable for nasal congestion caused by allergic and non-allergic rhinitis. It positions itself as a drug-free alternative to intranasal steroids and was named one of TIME’s Best Inventions of 2025.
  2. Spatial Sleep™ Band: A newer device using “acoustic resonance therapy” to speed up sleep onset and deepen sleep cycles via neural entrainment.

How It Works: CT Scans from a Smartphone

The core technology differentiator is how SoundHealth customizes the therapy. It doesn’t just vibrate randomly. The system uses a smartphone’s front-facing camera to construct a “CT-quality” anatomical model of the user’s face and sinuses. It then generates a personalized “vibratory therapeutic stimulus” tailored to that specific anatomy.

Furthermore, the app pioneers the use of voice biomarkers. By analyzing the user’s voice, the AI can track airway health in real-time, giving providers a new data stream to monitor patient progress between visits.

The “Vibro-Acoustic” Science

The mechanism of action—vibro-acoustic neuromodulation—is designed to harness the body’s natural mechanisms.

  • For Allergies: The Sonu Band uses vibration to clear nasal obstruction, offering relief comparable to steroids but with “zero side effects”.
  • For Sleep: The Spatial Sleep band uses acoustic resonance to effectively “lull” the brain into deeper sleep stages.
