Sprout, a San Francisco, CA-based tech-enabled platform pioneering the future of autism care, launches today to solve the broken, outdated, and costly process families face when seeking care for children. Through Sprout, children are matched with world-class therapists who create individualized care plans unique to their needs, both in-home and online. Sprout is launching with $10M in funding from marquee investors including General Catalyst, Bling Capital, Felicis Ventures, and others.
Early Detection Is Critical to Treating Autism
Sprout believes that early detection is key in treating autism, yet today’s families often wait up to six months to receive a diagnosis. With Sprout, families are offered a free assessment (typically $2,200 value) to properly diagnose children in a matter of days or weeks. Immediately following a diagnosis, families are matched with therapists who work collaboratively to create personalized, at-home care plans that include Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy, speech and language therapy, and occupational therapy. A designated Care Coordinator is responsible for holding families’ hands through the entire journey, from initial assessment to care.
“Today’s outdated autism care model severely underserves children and families by, among other things, deprioritizing those who are unable to afford a formal autism evaluation from a child psychologist,” said Yury Yakubchyk, CEO and co-founder of Sprout. “We at Sprout inherently disagree with today’s inefficient norm and are committed to bridging the socioeconomic gap in autism care, ensuring the 1.5 million autistic kiddos in the U.S. quickly receive the therapist access needed to succeed.”
The Future of In-Home Autism Care
The first company to take a digitized, integrated approach to autism care, Sprout features software-enabled experiences that help families track progress, coordinate care, and refine care plans. This tech-forward approach, coupled with industry-leading practices by the brightest minds in ABA therapy and an immersive software experience for parents, will increase chances of success in children with autism while lowering overall care delivery costs.
