Presidium Health Raises $3.5M to Expand On-Demand Care Platform

– Presidium Health raises $3.5M to expand optimized in-home medical services based on geo-proximity to the medically complex and underserved population utilizing a home-based model of care

The company’s flagship platform, STAT (Secure Text Activated Triage) is a simple user interface that provides patients with a medical alert device that allows for two-way communication, real-time transmission of vitals and personal health records to a HIPAA-compliant text platform

Presidium Health, a San Diego, CA-based mobile healthcare company for medically complex patients, announced it has raised $3.5M in Series A funding led by Alethea Capital Management, LLC. The funding will be used to expand the company’s physician-based services and marketing initiatives.

On-Demand Care

Presidium was co-founded by its CEO, Dr. Pouya Afshar, a pioneer in the field of transitional care medicine. At the core of Presidium’s service is a best-in-class 24/7 medical triage team, backed by proprietary medical algorithms that guide both acute and chronic disease management, giving patients access to comprehensive urgent care services at home, including the delivery of medications, labs, and X-rays.

The medical triage team is enhanced by Presidium’s virtual healthcare platform, Secure Text Activated Triage (STAT). STAT’s simple user interface provides patients with a medical alert device that allows for two-way communication, real-time transmission of vitals and personal health records to a HIPAA-compliant text platform, and optimized in-home medical services based on what’s known as geo-proximity.
