Stratus Video Spin Off Launches Virtual Care Platform to Enhance Telehealth Marketplace

Synzi announced today a new investment from Kinderhook Industries forming a new virtual care spin-off entity from language services company, Stratus Video‘s language services division. Synzi offers healthcare organizations — from providers to payers to biotech and pharma — a multi-channel communication platform that goes beyond the traditional telehealth model to support some of the industry’s biggest goals, such as enhancing patient engagement, facilitating complex care management, streamlining clinical trials, and more.

For health systems, the platform offers on-demand video capabilities that enable virtual consults for urgent care and mental health, as well as virtual visits which optimize care post-discharge. For health plans, the platform streamlines care management programming and increases engagement amongst members at risk for readmission. Uniquely, Synzi can also service limited English proficiency (LEP) and the Deaf/Hard-of-Hearing patient population with direct access to a video interpreter.

“The telehealth division of Stratus Video first launched at the 2017 J.P. Morgan Chase Healthcare Conference, so it’s incredibly rewarding, a year later, to be able to showcase our growth and to demonstrate Synzi’s value as a standalone company,” said Lee Horner, CEO of Synzi. “We are excited for the new market opportunities ahead and look forward to working with the right partners to help bring forth an innovative approach to delivering timely care.”
