Highmark, the fourth largest Blue Cross and Blue Shield-affiliated company has partnered with Welltok to reward Highmark’s Medicare Advantage Passport program members for healthy actions through Welltok’s CaféWell Rewards platform.
By creating a single destination where seniors can access information related to their health and well-being, the collaboration aims to close gaps in care and advance population health efforts. With Welltok’s CaféWell Rewards, Highmark is now rewarding healthy behaviors like getting an HbA1C screening for diabetic members. These incentives will drive greater engagement with the senior population as 38% of seniors have indicated that external motivators, such as gift cards and other financial rewards in the form of vouchers, would incentivize them to engage in healthier behaviors (Harris Poll and Welltok Survey).
