Reflexion Health, a digital health startup dedicated to transforming traditional medicine and delivering meaningful, patient-centered care has raised $18 million in Series B funding. The company plans to utilize the funds to complete clinico-economic evaluation of its first FDA cleared product VERA™.
Why Tele-Rehabilitation?
Tele-rehab drives patient engagement, enhances continuity of care, and delivers a concierge rehab experience in the comfort of the patient’s home.
Vera System Features
Reflexion Health’s flagship product, VERA™ is a tele-rehabilitation platform that includes:
– suite of prescription rehabilitation exercises, an animated avatar coach
– 3D imaging system for measuring movement and form, functional assessments
– Intuitive dashboard for off-line clinical review, automatic report generation and telemedicine capability.
The system is best implemented in health systems that are adopting value based care models and looking to gain more control over how care is delivered in the post acute setting.
In early use, VERA™ increases patient engagement, improves adherence to prescribed exercises, delights patients, all while increasing the reach of physical therapists into the home while saving steps, time, and money.
Reflexion Health is currently working with physicians and physical therapists across the spectrum of healthcare delivery systems to expand the use of the VERA™ system in patients planning for and recovering from joint replacement surgery. The company also received a $1 million grant from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to use VERA in fall prevention for seniors.
