Validic Platform Connection

Similar to Twitter, Facebook, Apple and Google’s APIs and resources to help developers build directly to their platforms, Validic has launched Validic Connect™ to enable app and devices developers to build directly to the Validic digital health platform. Validic Connect™ officially launched at the start of this quarter. The company also announced today the addition of 36 new clinical and fitness devices to its marketplace – growing its ecosystem by 20% in the first quarter of this year. Twenty-seven of the newly added devices are clinically focused, reinforcing Validic’s commitment to providing vital and actionable biometric data to the healthcare system

Utilizing the Validic Connect™ API, mobile health applications and platforms – regardless of whether they are built for iOS, Android or Microsoft – can integrate directly to the Validic platform. Validic is committed to being a truly platform- and device-agnostic solution in the ecosystem allowing healthcare clients to reach every facet of their population.

Two examples of companies that have built to Validic through Validic Connect™ are SunSprite, the sunlight monitoring device from GoodLux Technology, which helps improve the care and outcomes for people suffering from depression; and, the Ditto device from Biomedtrics that turns data-locked blood glucose meters into connected clinical devices.

With the Ditto connection, Validic adds 24 of the most popular blood glucose meters to its list of integrations, including devices from Johnson & Johnson LifeScan®, Bayer®, Freestyle®, ReliOn®, Walgreens, RiteAid and CVS. Currently, devices integrating through Validic Connect™ are focused on the areas on nutrition, blood glucose, biometrics, sleep tracking, tobacco cessation and medication adherence.

Validic Connect™ is going to allow the company to rapidly grow its suite of application and device offerings, and to provide new and innovative clinical technology options to its clients.Validic also announced the addition of several new clients, including two of the leading EHR vendors, Cerner and MEDITECH. Validic’s presence has expanded to over 160 million lives in 47 countries around the world, including Australia, South Africa, United Kingdom, China, Thailand, Netherlands, Belgium, Spain and many others.
