Three Google Glass Challenge qualifying rounds were run between February 10 and March 22, during which over 50 ideas were submitted by clinicians from around the country. An expert panel of technologists, clinicians and businesspeople reviewed these submissions and selected 13 semi-finalists, who will present their ideas at the Final Pitch-Off. Following these presentations, a panel of 8 clinician innovators will answer audience questions about how Glass will change medicine in the coming years.

“We’re really delighted that so many innovative institutions have gotten on board to sponsor this event” said Jennifer Joe, MD, Founder and Editor in Chief of MedTech Boston. “Given the caliber of our speakers, panelists and challengers, we’re expecting a packed house and a lively networking hour afterwards.”

The event is sponsored by Medstro, the new social and professional network designed by physicians for physicians. Other sponsors include:

  • Google
  • Google Glass New England
  • MIT H@cking Medicine
  • Boston Children’s Hospital’s Hacking Pediatrics
  • The Brigham and Women’s Hospital iHUB
