What You Should Know:

– Confido Health, a company specializing in AI-powered voice agents for healthcare secures $10M Series A funding round, bringing its total funding to $13M.

– The round was led by Blume Ventures, with participation from Schema Ventures, Vicus Ventures, and existing investors such as Together Fund. The new capital will be used to expand its platform and meet the surging demand for automated solutions.

Solving the Phone Paradox in Healthcare

Even in 2025, 81% of patients still use the phone to reach their doctors. This often results in patients being stuck on hold or waiting days for a callback, contributing to staff burnout and eroding patient loyalty. Confido Health is solving this by replacing the traditional phone tree entirely with specialized AI voice agents.

Confido’s voice agents answer on the first ring, authenticate the caller, check eligibility, and intelligently resolve the patient’s request. This is crucial in a market where less than half of patient calls are resolved on the first attempt.

  • Comprehensive Resolution: The system is built to handle a wide variety of workflows in one call, including referrals, refills, intake, payments, status updates, and appointment booking.
  • Seamless Transfer: When complex edge cases require human expertise, the system executes a smooth warm-transfer to staff.
  • EHR Integration: Every interaction is automatically documented back to the EHR or PMS.

In the past eight months, Confido has grown 10x, now providing round-the-clock access to more than 1 million patients, up from 150,000 in December 2024.

Measurable Impact and Strategic Value

Confido’s expansive platform is particularly valuable for multi-site operators and private equity-backed groups, allowing them to unify patient experience, reduce overhead, and scale faster. With automation rates above 80%, practices achieve faster resolutions while staff can focus on higher-value work.

The platform is already live across multiple specialties, including pediatrics, orthopedics, GI, and dermatology. At Dallas Renal Group, the impact has been immediate:

  • Outbound Calls: Over 66% of patients confirm appointments instantly on outbound calls.
  • Wait Time Reduction: Inbound call wait times dropped from minutes to just 15 seconds, saving staff nearly 50 hours in a single week.
