Forcura and Medalogix Merge to Transform Post-Acute Care

What You Should Know:

– Forcura, an intelligent workflow management company, and Medalogix, a clinical decision support company, have announced their merger, creating a powerful new post-acute care technology platform.

– The strategic combination aims to enhance patient care and streamline operations for home-based care providers and across the broader healthcare continuum. The merger will be backed by Berkshire Partners, which will become the majority owner, and The Vistria Group, which will be the largest minority shareholder.

Merged Platform Optimizes Workflow & Decisions

By joining forces, Forcura and Medalogix will offer providers a unified platform that simplifies patient care transitions, fosters seamless collaboration among care teams, optimizes resource allocation, and improves end-of-life care management. The combined company’s solutions will provide greater transparency for referral sources and payers, leverage artificial intelligence (AI) to refine patient care delivery, enhance outcomes, and drive improved business performance for post-acute care providers and their partners.

The post-acute care sector, a critical component of the U.S. healthcare system, often suffers from fragmentation and siloed operations, leading to challenges for both patients and providers. The merged platform aims to transform this experience by better connecting post-acute care providers within the broader healthcare ecosystem, promoting more equitable reimbursements, and supporting the ongoing shift toward value-based care.Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed. Kirkland & Ellis LLP served as legal counsel to Forcura and Accel KKR on the transaction. Houlihan Lokey served as the exclusive financial advisor to Forcura and Accel KKR. Ropes & Gray LLP served as legal counsel to Medalogix and Vistria. William Blair served as the exclusive financial advisor to Medalogix and Vistria.
