Axena Health & Mayo Clinic Partner to Enhance Pelvic Health Education for Women

What You Should Know:

– Axena Health, a medical device company focused on female pelvic health, announced a collaboration with Mayo Clinic to integrate educational content on overactive bladder (OAB) into its clinically proven Leva® Pelvic Health System.

– The partnership combines Axena Health’s innovative technology with Mayo Clinic’s trusted medical expertise to empower women with knowledge and resources to manage their pelvic health.

Collaboration Integrates Mayo Clinic’s Expertise into Leva® Pelvic Health System

The Leva System offers a convenient, non-invasive solution for treating urinary incontinence (UI) through personalized pelvic floor muscle training. The system includes an FDA-cleared device and a smartphone app that provides:

  • Guided treatment: Step-by-step instructions and real-time feedback to ensure proper exercise technique.
  • Personalized coaching: Support and guidance from pelvic floor specialists.
  • Educational resources: Information on pelvic health conditions and treatment options.
  • Progress tracking: Tools to monitor progress and celebrate milestones.

By integrating Mayo Clinic’s educational content on OAB, the Leva app will provide users with a deeper understanding of their condition and empower them to make informed decisions about their care.

Investment in Women’s Health

The collaboration also includes an investment from Mayo Clinic to support Axena Health’s continued innovation in women’s pelvic health. This investment will enable Axena Health to:

  • Develop new technologies and treatments: Advance the field of pelvic health with innovative solutions.
  • Expand educational initiatives: Provide more women with access to valuable information and resources.
  • Conduct clinical research: Generate evidence to support the effectiveness of its treatments.

“Urinary incontinence impacts millions of women worldwide yet remains underdiagnosed and undertreated due in part to a lack of discussion and education about the condition,” said Randy Pritchard, CEO of Axena Health. “Our collaboration with Mayo Clinic underscores our commitment to empowering women to take control of their pelvic health through clinically proven treatments and accessible, evidence-based education.”
