What You Should Know:

– Prescribe FIT, a leader in remote patient monitoring (RPM) and virtual lifestyle coaching for musculoskeletal health secures $4.8M in Series A funding. The funding round includes investments from prominent figures in the healthcare and business sectors, including Jim Grote, Tamarind Hill, JobsOhio Growth Capital, seasoned executives, and orthopedic surgeons.

– The investment will fuel the company’s mission to improve patient outcomes and well-being through a data-driven, personalized approach.

Expanding the Toolkit for Patient Success

Prescribe FIT plans to utilize the funding to launch innovative solutions:

  • Remote Therapeutic Monitoring (RTM): This technology will support pain reduction and mobility improvement.
  • Smoking Cessation Program: This program targets surgical optimization by helping patients quit smoking, a significant risk factor for complications.
  • AI-powered Patient Engagement: This tool will personalize the program and further improve patient adherence.

Personalized Care with Real People

Prescribe FIT prioritizes personalized care by investing in hiring additional health coaches. These professionals, with clinical backgrounds, provide crucial support and guidance to each patient. The results speak for themselves:

  • High Patient Engagement: 80% of patients remain active in the program for at least nine months.
  • Weight Loss and Pain Reduction: Patients typically lose 5.4% of body weight in the first 16 weeks, with reductions in pain (82%) and improved mobility (81%).
  • Transformative Results: Some patients have lost significant weight (up to 173lbs), improved mobility scores (10 to 25), and achieved pain-free status (10 to 0 on the pain scale).

One of their patients, Shawna Ott recently said, “Dr. Crawford at JIS Orthopedics agreed to do my knee replacement but suggested I lose 30lbs before the surgery. I have struggled with being overweight my whole life and have always done some type of ‘yo-yo dieting’ but Prescribe FIT has totally changed my life! Before Prescribe FIT, I was miserable, depressed, hopeless, no energy, in pain constantly, and short of breath just walking in my house to the bathroom. Now I feel great! I am able to walk around the block, or play in the yard with my granddaughter, or go do different activities with her that I wasn’t able to do before. As of today, I have lost 106lbs with Prescribe FIT.”
