Samsung and TigerText today announced a new strategic partnership and joint offering to improve communication and coordination efforts among care teams, offering CNOs and CNIOs a top of the line, enterprise-grade smartphone that meets the consumer-expectations of staff. Improvements in efficiency allows clinicians to streamline continuity of care and spend more time caring for patients and less time tracking down colleagues or completing redundant administrative tasks.

The new all-in-one clinical collaboration solution combines TigerText’s advanced communications platform capabilities with Samsung’s ease of use smartphone features, and is deployed on the Samsung Galaxy J7 at a quarter of the price of the typical ruggedized “healthcare” smartphone, as well as Samsung’s full lineup of mobile devices. TigerText’s clinically integrated workflow engine, TigerFlow, centralizes information from systems such as the electronic health record, nurse call, admit/discharge/transfer, scheduling, imaging and labs, into a single interface for real-time, mobile-centric notifications and communication.

TigerText is also available on Samsung’s full lineup of mobile devices including the flagship Galaxy S8 and Note 8.

Samsung delivers added value to IT teams through its centralized device and application management platform Knox. Through Knox Security, health providers are able to offer secure access to Patient Health Information (PHI) via mobile EMR. The Knox Configure tool provides IT administrators with a highly secure, centralized interface for managing users, devices, and applications.

“We’re excited to partner with Samsung, a global technology leader with a deep history of advancing innovation in healthcare,” said Brad Brooks, CEO and co-founder of TigerText in a statement. “TigerText and Samsung embrace the same vision of empowering all healthcare clinicians with technology that helps them to create more efficient workflows that lower costs and improve the lives of the patients they serve.”
