Validic

Validic, the healthcare technology interoperability platform for aggregating digital health data, announced today the addition of several new clients and partners, as they continue to expand and grow their global digital health ecosystem.

With the addition of several new clients, which include Alere, The Vitality Group, Everyday Health, Datu Health, and ShapeUp, Validic’s client population size increases from 72 million to 80 million lives. Validic continues in discussions with major health systems, health IT vendors, pharma companies, wellness groups and payers.

Integration Partners

Reinforcing Validic’s clinical focus, the company’s newest integration partners contribute additional blood
glucose meters, body scales, blood pressure cuffs, heart rate monitors and thermometers to Validic’s digital health ecosystem. Clinical technologies account for 80% of Validic’s newest additions, and include devices from A&D Medical, Qardio, Zephyr, MyGlucoHealth and BodyTrace. The ecosystem also adds new fitness-focused devices, such as the Garmin Vivofit, Misfit Flash and FitLinxx Pebble+. Validic’s marketplace of connected devices and applications now totals 135. The company is expected to exceed 150 integrations over the next couple of months, one of which will include Apple’s Health App and Apple HealthKit when re-released.

Part of Validic’s clinical drive included the acquisition of Infometers, a Silicon Valley-based technology company focusing on remote patient monitoring. Initiatives following the acquisition centered on the development of an application to connect via SDKs to clinical health technology. With this announcement, Validic is officially releasing the VitalUp App, which will connect to a variety of devices centered on tracking patient data outside of the clinical setting. Validic’s commitment to digital health is continually reinforced with Validic’s research partnerships.

Research Partnerships

The University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) chose Validic to partner with as they work to prove the viability of remote tracking in drug trials. UCSF BRAiN-M is launching a clinical trial focused using activity trackers to test effects of migraine drugs on patient’s activity levels. The University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill’s Crones and Colitis Foundation is using the Validic technology to build a community platform for patients to help the better understand lifestyle commonalities and treatment options. While UNC’s Pro-Core is utilizing Validic’s integrations for outpatient tracking of cancer treatments.
