Ultrahuman Scores $35M to Expand Smart Ring for AI-Powered Health Tracking

What You Should Know

  • Bengaluru-based health intelligence company Ultrahuman announced a $70M financing round to evolve from a consumer wearable maker into an extensible human-computer interface (HCI) platform centered on the human body.
  • The syndicate includes corporate heavyweights Qualcomm Ventures and Labcorp (via the Labcorp Venture Fund), alongside venture and growth investors Alpha Wave, Blume Ventures, Nexus Venture Partners, and Alteria Capital.
  • Expands Pulsomics, an embedded opt-in clinical research engine turning commercial wearable users into decentralized, longitudinal study cohorts across sleep architecture, VO₂ max, and glucose dynamics.

Unifying Continuous Biometrics with Diagnostic Biochemistry

Headquartered in Bengaluru, Ultrahuman has built a multi-modal biometric ecosystem anchored by its smart ring hardware (including the Ring AIR and the newly advanced Ring PRO). The platform integrates five core data streams:

  • Passive Continuous Sensing: Captures continuous heart rate variability (HRV), skin temperature, and motion dynamics from the finger.
  • Biochemical Integration (Blood Vision): Connects consumer wearable telemetry with diagnostic blood testing across cardiovascular, hormonal, inflammatory, and metabolic longevity panels.
  • Continuous Glucose Monitoring (M1/M2 Live): Tracks real-time interstitial glucose fluctuations to measure glycemic response to nutrition, sleep, and physical exertion.
  • Environmental Spatial Sensing (Ultrahuman Home): Monitors ambient bedroom parameters—such as blue light exposure, particulate matter, and room temperature—that directly impact sleep architecture.
  • Contextual Conversational AI (Jade): Synthesizes raw biological streams into conversational, actionable guidance rather than forcing users to interpret static graphs.

Extending On-Chip Edge Computing and Decentralized Research

The involvement of Qualcomm Ventures signals a technical shift toward edge AI and on-device processing. With the Ring PRO architecture, Ultrahuman is shifting computation directly onto the device via low-power on-chip machine learning, reducing latency and reliance on continuous cloud processing.

At the same time, the strategic backing from Labcorp accelerates Pulsomics, Ultrahuman’s opt-in decentralized research platform launched earlier this year. Pulsomics allows ring users to contribute longitudinal real-world data to clinical studies—spanning VO₂ max modeling, individualized sleep requirements, and glucose metabolism—mirroring the biopharma shift toward decentralized, real-world evidence pipelines.

“For the longest time, computers have understood almost everything about the world except the person using them,” said Mohit Kumar, Founder and CEO of Ultrahuman. “We are building an interface that can understand the body continuously and translate its signals into intelligence that is useful in everyday life. Not another dashboard and not simply more data. Something that can help a person sleep better, understand cardiovascular health, navigate fertility and improve metabolic health.”
