Scaling Automated Outcomes Capture Across 870 Health Systems
Since closing its Series B round in 2022, PatientIQ has expanded its enterprise footprint from 200 provider organizations to more than 870 healthcare systems, private practices, and specialty clinics. The platform now covers over 17 million patients nationwide and has collected more than 70 million patient outcomes across 20-plus medical specialties, including orthopedics, neurosurgery, and thoracic surgery.
PatientIQ embeds directly into more than 50 EHR platforms—including Epic, Oracle Health, and athenahealth—triggering validated survey collection at standardized pre- and post-operative clinical intervals without requiring clinicians to exit their primary charting screens.
The new capital will fund three strategic initiatives:
- Specialty and Registry Deepening: Expands integration across large health systems while powering national clinical data registries for major specialty bodies, including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS), and the Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS).
- Life Sciences Real-World Evidence (RWE): Grows its research pipeline for medical device and biopharma manufacturers—including enterprise clients such as Johnson & Johnson and Zimmer Biomet—to support post-market clinical follow-up (PMCF), FDA regulatory submissions, and longitudinal comparative effectiveness studies.
- Direct-to-Patient Commerce: Establishes a marketplace layer designed to connect patients directly to relevant rehabilitation tools, specialty medical supplies, and clinical recovery services during their post-treatment care journeys.
