NYU Langone and Dana-Farber Co-Develop Solavia Decision Suite

What You Should Know

  • NYU Langone Health and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute have co-developed the Solavia Decision Suite, an oncology decision support platform designed to deliver precise, evidence-based, and standardized care delivery at scale.
  • Solavia launched internally at NYU Langone on June 30, 2026, and is now commercially available to external health systems and oncology centers.
  • Commercialization and external licensing will be managed by NYU Langone’s Technology Opportunities and Ventures, with future proceeds earmarked to be reinvested into platform enhancements.
  • The suite is embedded directly into the electronic health record (EHR), providing clinicians with real-time access to evolving clinical pathways, biomarkers, treatment guidelines, and therapeutic options within existing workflows.
  • The joint initiative builds on broader learning health system goals, advancing institutional capabilities in product governance, pathway digitization, implementation science, and clinical transformation.

Beyond Passive EHR Guidance: NYU Langone and Dana-Farber Co-Develop Solavia Decision Suite

NYU Langone Health and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute have co-developed the Solavia Decision Suite, a point-of-care oncology platform designed to bridge the gap between rapidly evolving clinical guidelines and real-world treatment choices. Following an internal rollout across NYU Langone on June 30, 2026, the tool is now commercially available to health systems nationwide.

The platform targets a growing challenge in precision oncology: keeping pace with complex biomarker data, emerging targeted therapies, and expanding clinical trial criteria. By embedding decision logic directly into the EHR interface, Solavia surfaces tailored treatment recommendations and relevant guidelines in real time, eliminating the need for oncologists to leave their primary clinical workflow.

Beyond streamlining individual appointments, the system helps health systems reduce treatment variation across multidisciplinary teams by standardizing pathway delivery based on each patient’s genetic and clinical profile. It also establishes an operational foundation for learning health systems, offering structured frameworks for pathway digitization and clinical governance that can eventually extend to other specialties.

NYU Langone’s Technology Opportunities and Ventures office is managing commercialization for the platform, with licensing proceeds slated for direct reinvestment into ongoing Solavia research and development.

“Solavia represents an important opportunity to deploy the next generation of oncology decision support for clinicians and patients,” said Nader Mherabi, executive vice president, vice dean, and chief digital and information officer at NYU Langone. “By co-developing this platform with Dana-Farber, we are translating clinical expertise into a scalable strategic capability that can improve consistency in care and accelerate the adoption of the latest evidence in oncology practice.”
