The transaction was executed with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City (Blue KC), the wholly-owned subsidiary of which, Cobalt Health Solutions, owned Cobalt MedPlans.

MDI NetworX’s strategic acquisition of Cobalt MedPlans (Clarity Performance Solutions) from Cobalt Health Solutions marks a pivotal step in accelerating its growth strategy in the U.S. The acquisition immediately strengthens MDI’s ability to deliver a full range of payer services—including claims processing, enrollment, and member and provider call center services—directly from U.S. delivery centers.
Key impacts of the transaction include:
- Workforce Expansion: Approximately 250 U.S.-based employees from Cobalt MedPlans will join MDI, bringing the global workforce to over 7,500.
- Geographic Expansion: Adds two new Kansas locations—in Overland Park and Fort Scott—to MDI’s domestic operations.
- Client Base: Cobalt MedPlans has a strong reputation serving leading national and regional Blues plans and other payer organizations for over 25 years.
AI-Enabled Automation to Drive Payer Value
A key component of this integration will be the implementation of MDI’s AI-enabled SaaS platform, InsightPro. InsightPro combines intelligent workflow automation, advanced analytics, and quality assurance tools to drive measurable improvements in efficiency and cost reduction for payer clients.
