CareCloud Acquires Medsphere, Creating a Unified Healthcare Technology Platform

Medsphere Raises $40M to Expand Suite of SaaS EHR & RCM Solutions

What You Should Know:

– CareCloud, a provider of healthcare technology and AI-powered solutions, has announced its acquisition of the business assets of Medsphere Systems Corporation. Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed.

– Medsphere is a provider of enterprise inpatient and ambulatory solutions with a 23-year legacy and over 600 clients across 50 states and U.S. territories. 

Comprehensive Hospital IT Ecosystem

Medsphere’s hospital IT ecosystem, now part of CareCloud, includes a range of solutions that cover the full care continuum:

  • CareVue: An integrated inpatient EHR that combines clinical, financial, and patient accounting workflows.
  • RCM Cloud: A revenue cycle management platform hosted on Azure that covers scheduling, registration, billing, claims, A/R, and reporting.
  • Wellsoft: A KLAS-recognized Emergency Department Information System (EDIS) for acute and behavioral health.
  • HealthLine: Supply chain and inventory management tools for hospital environments.
  • ChartLogic: An ambulatory EHR and practice management suite for physician practices, with a focus on orthopedics.
  • Phoenix & Systeem IT Managed Services: Vendor-neutral services for implementation, help desk, interface management, and infrastructure support.

The transaction closed on August 22, 2025. Additional details about the acquisition are available in CareCloud’s Form 8-K.
