What You Should Know:

– xCures, a leader in AI-powered healthcare data solutions announced the launch of its Individual Access Services (IAS) within the Trusted Exchange Framework and Common Agreement (TEFCA).

– The milestone is a major step toward creating a seamless, nationwide system for patient data access, allowing for more complete and accurate medical records.

Comprehensive Solution for Secure Data Exchange

xCures’ new solution integrates several key technologies to ensure secure and efficient data access. The platform features robust patient identification tools from CLEAR, a secure identity company, which meets the National Institute of Standards and Technology’s (NIST) Identity Assurance Level 2 (IAL2) standards. This partnership ensures that patient data is securely accessed and shared.

Additionally, through a partnership with Kno2, a Qualified Health Information Network (QHIN), xCures can now seamlessly query and retrieve patient data from the extensive network of healthcare organizations participating in TEFCA. The solution also provides connectivity to the Epic electronic health record (EHR) system, a key player in the healthcare industry.

“This is a landmark achievement for xCures and, more importantly, for patient care,” said Mika Newton, CEO of xCures. He emphasized that the platform now acts as a “universal adapter, securely connecting to the nation’s health information backbone,” which will ultimately give physicians and patients access to complete and accurate medical records.
