What You Should Know:

– Assort Health, a company specializing in AI solutions for managing patient phone calls in healthcare, has announced a new round of institutional financing co-led by First Round Capital and Chemistry, with continued support from existing investor Quiet Capital, bringing the company’s total funding to $26M.

– The funding will be used to accelerate Assort Health’s mission of improving access to care by addressing the issues of long hold times and scheduling inefficiencies that commonly affect healthcare organizations.

Specialty-Specific Generative AI Platform for Managing Patient Phone Calls

Founded by Jon Wang and Jeff Liu, Assort Health aims to solve the problems stemming from traditional healthcare call centers that often struggle with inefficient scheduling systems and high staff turnover (approximately 45% annually). These issues lead to long wait times for patients, resulting in abandoned calls, frustration, and obstacles to accessing necessary care.

Assort Health’s core offering is an AI-powered voice agent that provides a solution to these challenges. The company’s technology is already being used by numerous healthcare organizations, including Chesapeake Healthcare, OrthoIndy, Peninsula Orthopaedic Associates, and Cleaver Medical Dermatology.

Key features and impact of Assort Health’s platform include:

  • Adaptability to healthcare specialties: The AI integrates with electronic health record systems to update patient data and insurance information and schedule appointments in real-time. It is designed to be adaptable to the specific needs of different specialty practices. The platform also includes an intuitive dashboard for managing AI agent “fleets.”
  • High scheduling accuracy: Assort Health’s system is designed to achieve 99% scheduling accuracy by breaking down patient interactions into clear steps and using specialized AI agents.
  • High resolution rate: The platform maintains a resolution rate of over 90%, which the company attributes to thousands of specialty-specific tests and continuous automated system testing. This high resolution rate aims to ensure reliable patient service and prevent errors such as misdirected referrals.

To support further product development and commercial expansion, Assort Health plans to expand its team, particularly in engineering roles.
