What You Should Know:

– Neko Health, a pioneering preventative healthcare technology company co-founded by Hjalmar Nilsonne and Daniel Ek (founder of Spotify) raises $260M in a Series B funding round by Lightspeed Venture Partners, with participation from General Catalyst, O.G. Venture Partners, Rosello, Lakestar, and Atomico. This latest funding brings Neko Health’s total raised to over $325M.

– The company’s AI-powered body scan is transforming how people understand and manage their health, paving the way for a healthier future for all

Addressing the Global Health Crisis

Neko Health’s approach aligns with the growing consensus among medical experts and healthcare stakeholders that a shift towards preventative care is crucial for addressing the global health crisis. The company’s technology has been recognized by independent experts as a valuable tool for early detection and disease prevention

Neko Health is revolutionizing healthcare with its unique, non-invasive body scan that maps millions of health data points in just minutes. The scan, which costs £299, checks for a wide range of health risks, including:

  • Skin cancer: Detects suspicious moles and marks.
  • Metabolic syndrome: Assesses risk factors for stroke and heart attack.
  • Pre-diabetes: Measures blood sugar levels.
  • Cardiovascular disease: Checks for early signs of heart disease.
  • Blood abnormalities: Identifies potential blood disorders.

Expansion Plans

Since its launch in February 2023, Neko Health has completed 10,000 scans across its locations in Stockholm and London. The company boasts a remarkable 80% retention rate, with most members booking their next scan before leaving their appointment. Demand for the Neko Body Scan remains high, with a global waiting list exceeding 100,000 people.

This latest funding will fuel Neko Health’s expansion plans, enabling the company to:

  • Open new locations: Increase access to the Neko Body Scan in existing and new regions.
  • Enhance technology: Further develop its AI-powered platform and scanning capabilities.
  • Grow its team: Expand its workforce to support its rapid growth.

Availability

The Neko Body Scan is currently available in London and Stockholm.
