H1 Expands Trial Landscape Platform with UK Diversity Data and AI-Powered Site Rescue

What You Should Know:

– H1, a provider of healthcare data and analytics, has announced significant enhancements to its Trial Landscape platform.

– These updates include the integration of diversity data for over 34 million patients in England and the launch of an AI-powered Site Rescue functionality, both designed to accelerate equitable clinical trials and improve research outcomes.

Addressing Diversity in Clinical Trials

Diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) are critical considerations in clinical trials to ensure that research findings are representative of real-world populations. However, many trials struggle to meet DEI targets, leading to delays and hindering the development of treatments that benefit diverse patient groups.

H1’s expanded Trial Landscape platform addresses this challenge by incorporating race and ethnicity data for a large patient population in the U.K. This enables trial sponsors to:

  • Design More Inclusive Trials: Develop studies that reflect the diversity of the population, ensuring that treatments are effective for all patients.
  • Meet Regulatory Requirements: Comply with emerging guidelines from regulatory bodies, such as the FDA and the UK’s HRA and MHRA, which emphasize DEI in clinical trials.
  • Improve Health Equity: Contribute to a more equitable healthcare system by ensuring that all patients have access to safe and effective treatments.

AI-Powered Site Rescue for Enhanced Efficiency

In addition to diversity data, H1 has also launched Site Rescue, an AI-powered functionality designed to address the growing complexity of clinical trials. With many trials facing delays and site capacity constraints, Site Rescue leverages AI to:

  • Identify High-Performing Sites: Analyze historical performance data to identify healthcare providers (HCPs), sites, and principal investigators (PIs) with a strong track record of success.
  • Optimize Site Selection: Guide clinical operations teams in selecting the most suitable sites for their trials, reducing the risk of delays and improving efficiency.
  • Accelerate Trial Timelines: By ensuring that trials are conducted at high-performing sites, Site Rescue can help accelerate timelines and bring life-saving therapies to market faster.

“At H1, we’re committed to driving global health equity, and that begins with inclusive and successful trials,” said Ariel Katz, H1’s co-founder and CEO. “By extending our data capabilities beyond the U.S., we’re providing Trial Landscape users with diversity data in major markets where sponsors are running clinical trials. They can develop diversity action plans to meet national guidelines at home and across the pond. Site Rescue supports this by keeping trial sites on track from the beginning.”

Availability

The expanded U.K. data and Site Rescue are now available to all H1 Trial Landscape clients who have purchased the global data package.
