– Artera, a provider of patient communication solutions for healthcare organizations, has announced a series of AI-powered innovations and platform enhancements at its annual customer conference, Artera Heartbeat.

– These advancements aim to optimize patient engagement, streamline operations, and reduce administrative burden for healthcare providers.

AI Co-Pilots for Enhanced Efficiency

Artera introduced two new AI-powered co-pilot solutions:

  • Artera Staff AI Co-Pilot: Designed to assist administrative staff in managing patient communications more efficiently and accurately. This co-pilot offers features such as real-time translation, predictive text, message shortening, and conversation summaries, all aimed at improving response times and reducing staff workload.
  • Artera Insights AI Co-Pilot: Empowers healthcare organizations to make data-driven decisions by analyzing patient engagement data and providing actionable insights. Artera Harmony Enhancements

Artera also unveiled significant updates to its flagship patient communication platform, Artera Harmony:

  • Flows: Enables automated, multi-step conversation sequences with patients, leveraging natural language understanding (NLU) for more personalized engagement.
  • Homepage with Next Best Actions: Provides a centralized dashboard with action items for staff, highlighting urgent conversations and key insights.
  • Message Categorization: Uses machine learning to categorize patient messages, enabling efficient filtering and prioritization.
  • Native Value Reports: Offers built-in analytics and reporting capabilities to track performance and demonstrate ROI.

Future Developments

Artera plans to further enhance its platform with additional AI-powered features in Q1 2025, including:

  • Smart No-Show Inbox: Visually tags patients at risk of missing appointments within the inbox.
  • Smart No-Show Trigger: Automates outreach to at-risk patients.
  • Next Best Actions: Provides a dashboard with suggested follow-up actions for staff.
