Curai Health and Priority Health Partner to Enhance Access to Virtual Care and Address Health Disparities
This new initiative aims to address the consequences of delayed care and poor health outcomes resulting from a lack of health coverage. It also actively promotes access to care, health equity, and cost savings for the uninsured population and the broader healthcare system.
Curai Health utilizes artificial intelligence to support patient care teams led by dedicated, specially trained licensed clinicians. By empowering providers with streamlined information gathering, clinical documentation, and up-to-date medical knowledge, Curai Health enhances the quality of healthcare delivery. The company emphasizes safety and accuracy through a human-in-the-loop approach, which ensures clinical oversight and expertise, including diagnosis and final treatment decisions.
Users can connect with a virtual care provider via their phone or computer to address their health concerns. The process begins with a visit to priorityhealth.com/freevirtual, where users can obtain a special access code. After receiving the code, users can visit Curai Health’s website (CuraiHealth.com) or download the Curai Health app to start their virtual visit.
It is important to note that virtual visits do not cover the costs of prescribed medications, recommended medical care outside of Curai Health’s virtual services, or other expenses such as labs, specialist visits, surgeries, or incidentals.
Priority Health remains committed to investing in Michigan communities by addressing social determinants of health and disparities in healthcare access. Initiatives include installing outdoor Fitness Courts across the state to provide free access to exercise, addressing children’s mental health through the Priority Pups™ program, and awarding grants through the Priority Health Total Health Foundation to nonprofit organizations serving community needs.
“Everyone should be able to access high-quality, convenient care, but far too often our health system isn’t able to keep up with demand,” said Neal Khosla, CEO and cofounder of Curai Health. “With the power of AI, our clinicians can help serve more folks in need with virtual care at scale.”
