Ascension Saint Thomas Deploys Suki’s Ambient AI Assistant to Clinicians

What You Should Know:

– Suki, an AI healthcare assistant, and Ascension Saint Thomas, a prominent healthcare system, announced a groundbreaking partnership to enhance the resident experience through AI.

– By integrating Suki’s AI-powered platform, Ascension Saint Thomas aims to alleviate the administrative burden on its second and third-year internal medicine residents, allowing them to focus on patient care and educational pursuits.

Improve Workflows and Reduce Burnout for Both Residents & Clinicians

Suki’s ability to automate time-consuming documentation tasks, such as charting and note-taking, will significantly improve resident efficiency and job satisfaction. The partnership extends beyond residents, with Suki becoming available to over 700 Ascension Saint Thomas clinicians. The platform’s seamless integration with major EHR systems, including Epic, Oracle Cerner, Meditech, and Athena, ensures a smooth workflow and access to critical patient information.

This collaboration highlights the potential of AI to transform healthcare delivery by optimizing clinician workflows and improving patient outcomes. By reducing administrative burdens and enhancing efficiency, Suki empowers healthcare professionals to provide higher quality care and deliver exceptional patient experiences.

“Suki has completely changed how I care for patients,” says Dr. Missy Scalise, Program Director of the Internal Medicine Residency Program and Chair of the Clinician Well-Being Committee at Ascension Saint Thomas. “It has cut down on my documentation time dramatically, saving me hours per week, but most importantly, it allows me to focus more on my patients and less on the computer during visits. All of this combined has improved my well-being and given me more time with my family. I couldn’t be more thrilled for our residents to experience this cutting-edge solution.”
