What You Should Know:

– MISTR, a telemedicine provider for sexual health, is partnering with select Walmart locations in Georgia to offer free at-home STI test kits. This initiative aims to increase access to convenient and confidential testing, particularly in areas with high HIV transmission rates.

– MISTR goes beyond STI testing, offering telemedicine consultations for PrEP (pre-exposure prophylaxis) and long-term HIV care. Their focus on accessibility and education aims to empower individuals to take control of their sexual health.

Free Kits Available While Supplies Last

Starting July 25th, customers can pick up free STI test kits at the pharmacy counters of seven Walmart locations across Georgia. Kits will be available while supplies last. Here’s a list of participating stores:

  • Walmart Supercenter: 5600 N Henry Blvd., Stockbridge, GA 30281
  • Walmart Supercenter: 6065 Jonesboro Rd., Morrow, GA 30260
  • Walmart Supercenter: 2525 N Decatur Road, Decatur, GA 30033
  • Walmart Supercenter: 2427 Gresham Rd SE, Atlanta, GA 30316
  • Walmart Supercenter: 3580 Memorial Dr., Decatur, GA 30032
  • Walmart Supercenter: 1400 Hudson Bridge Rd., Stockbridge, GA 30281
  • Walmart Supercenter: 2940 Anvil Block Rd., Ellenwood, GA 30294

Addressing Georgia’s HIV Crisis

This program comes in response to Georgia’s alarming HIV statistics. The state holds the highest rate of new HIV transmissions in the US, with particularly concerning numbers in Atlanta.

“There is an undeniable HIV crisis in Georgia with not enough resources available,” said Tristan Schukraft, CEO and Founder of MISTR. “This program addresses the community’s need for care options and increased sexual health education.”

Convenient Testing, Confidential Results

The MISTR STI test kits provide a convenient and discreet way for individuals to get tested in the privacy of their own homes. Customers simply follow the instructions provided with the kit and then mail it back for processing. Results are delivered confidentially through MISTR’s secure telemedicine platform.
