What You Should Know:

–  Zing Coach, a health-tech leader backed by Palta, has secured $10M in Series A funding led by Zubr Capital and Triple Point Capital.

– The secured funding will empower Zing Coach to expand its development team and bolster marketing efforts to reach new international markets. Additionally, the company will further refine its AI Coach technology.

– Currently, in beta testing, the AI Coach will be available to all Zing Coach users this fall. Following its full launch, Zing Coach plans to leverage its AI Coaching technology for additional exercise forms like pilates and yoga.

Addressing the Inactivity Crisis

Research indicates a staggering 54% of the world’s population falls short of the World Health Organization’s recommended physical activity levels. Regular exercise is well-established in preventing major health concerns like heart disease, stroke, and type 2 diabetes, highlighting the importance of promoting active lifestyles.

However, forming new habits is challenging, and many individuals struggle to maintain drastic changes. Studies reveal that 54% of people abandon their fitness goals within six months.

AI-Powered Workouts for Long-Term Success

Zing Coach tackles this challenge by offering personalized, AI-powered workouts that adapt continuously based on a variety of factors. These factors include past performance data, real-time health readings, activity levels, and user-provided health and lifestyle information.

This data-driven approach allows Zing Coach to create the optimal balance between pushing users to progress and keeping them motivated.

Beyond Basic Fitness Apps

Unlike many fitness apps, Zing Coach doesn’t rely solely on questionnaires for initial fitness assessments. ZingLab, a suite of advanced fitness tests and movement analyzers powered by computer vision, provides users with accurate and reliable assessments. Additionally, Zing Coach utilizes body composition scanners comparable to professional DEXA scanners for a comprehensive user profile.

Your AI Coach: Personalized Guidance and Motivation

As users progress, they are supported by their own AI Coach. This AI Coach leverages a large language model (LLM) to personalize communication based on the user’s emotional profile. This fosters a connection and provides tailored advice, insights, and encouragement to keep users engaged on their fitness journey.

Exceptional Results and User Growth

Scientific studies have shown that a staggering 63% of fitness app users abandon them within a day, and 91% quit within a month. Zing Coach’s unique AI-powered approach demonstrably yields far superior results. Data indicates users are 29% and 25% more likely, respectively, to continue using Zing Coach beyond the first day and first month compared to competitor apps.

Over a Million Workouts and Counting

This exceptional commitment to personalized fitness has resulted in over a million workouts completed within the Zing Coach app. Since its launch in 2021, the app has garnered over one million downloads and maintains an impressive 25% month-over-month user growth – a key metric that attracted Zubr Capital’s investment.

“We have experienced exponential growth in the past year, but the vast digital fitness coaching market remains largely untapped. We want to make leading a healthy lifestyle and achieving ambitious fitness goals attainable for all by providing highly personalised workout planning and guidance. Typically, this would cost hundreds of dollars for just a few hours with a personal trainer — with Zing, it costs less than a cup of coffee each week. From a user’s perspective, our inclusion of applied practice and coaching sets us apart from traditional fitness platforms. We’ve set the benchmark and this investment will ensure that we can maintain our lead in the market,” — said Tanya Parfenyuk, co-founder and CEO at Zing Coach.
