VA Health Chat Now Available Nationwide, Connecting Veterans with On-Demand Virtual Care

What You Should Know:

– Veterans across the United States can now access convenient, on-demand healthcare through VA Health Chat, following the platform’s national rollout across all Veterans Integrated Service Networks (VISNs).

– The multi-year initiative, facilitated by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), brings CirrusMD’s physician-first virtual care services to millions of Veterans.

VA Health Chat: Expanding Access to Care

VA Health Chat is now available to over 6.8 million Veterans within all 18 VISNs nationwide. VISNs function as regional healthcare delivery systems, ensuring Veterans receive care tailored to their local needs. The recent addition of VISN 7 (VA Southeast Network) encompassing Alabama, Georgia, and South Carolina marks the platform’s complete national availability.

Connecting Veterans to Care Quickly and Easily

The VA Health Chat platform offers Veterans near-instantaneous connections with healthcare professionals during VA operating hours. The chat format allows for a continuous conversation, empowering Veterans to control the flow of information and access care when and where it’s most convenient. CirrusMD’s secure platform facilitates faster and easier access to care, ensuring safe communication between Veterans and their healthcare team, with guidance provided throughout the entire care experience.

Tailored Services Delivered by Qualified Professionals

Services offered through VA Health Chat vary by location and are staffed by qualified VA healthcare professionals, including:

  • Schedulers
  • Non-clinical/administrative representatives
  • Nurses
  • Pharmacists
  • Physicians
“The teams at CirrusMD, Iron Bow Technologies, and the VA have worked tirelessly over the past 6 years to bring VA Health Chat to Veterans throughout the country,” said Jamie Hall, President & CEO, CirrusMD. “As a result of their efforts, Veterans nationwide now have access to VA health services via chat, making it easier for them to obtain care, schedule appointments, and streamline access to other VA services on their terms. We’re honored to provide the technology behind VA Health Chat and to serve Veterans across America. Our work with the VA supports our overarching mission of delivering immediate, affordable, high-quality care at scale. We are humbled and enormously proud to help deliver this service.”
