What You Should Know:

– Tandem Diabetes Care (TNDM) and Dexcom (DXCM) announced today that the Tandem Mobi insulin pump with Control-IQ technology is now compatible with both the Dexcom G7 and Dexcom G6 Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) systems.

– Overall, the Tandem Mobi and Dexcom G7 combination empowers people with diabetes with a discreet, convenient, and technologically advanced solution for managing their condition.

Tandem Mobi: Small Pump, Big Choice for Diabetes Management

The launch of Mobi compatibility with Dexcom G7 makes Tandem the only company offering two insulin pump options that work with both Dexcom’s latest and previous generation CGMs. This provides people with diabetes greater flexibility in choosing a pump that best suits their needs. Tandem’s commitment to innovation is further highlighted by their #1-rated t:slim X2 pump, which was the first AID system to integrate with Dexcom G7.

Seamless Software Update for Existing Users

Existing Tandem Mobi users in the United States will receive an email with instructions on how to obtain a free software update enabling Dexcom G7 compatibility. Tandem Mobi pumps with the updated software are already being shipped to new customers.

Benefits of Tandem Mobi with Dexcom G7 Integration

  • Discretion and Convenience: Mobi’s compact size allows for discreet wear, while Dexcom G7’s low-profile design offers added comfort.
  • Improved Glycemic Control: Control-IQ technology predicts glucose levels 30 minutes in advance and automatically adjusts insulin for better blood sugar management. Studies have shown improved time in target range with Control-IQ.
  • Faster Sensor Warm-up: Dexcom G7 boasts a 30-minute sensor warm-up time, the quickest in the CGM market, allowing for faster data availability.

“Choice is a hallmark of our offerings, and we’ve proven this commitment with the expansion of our insulin pump portfolio and extended CGM compatibilities,” said John Sheridan, president and chief executive officer of Tandem Diabetes Care. “With this integration, we’re providing more flexibility for our customers and continuing our decade-long partnership with Dexcom to bring innovative and discrete solutions to people living with diabetes.”
