What You Should Know:

– Glytec, a provider of cloud-based insulin management software solutions, announced today the appointment of Patrick F. Cua as Chief Executive Officer.

– Cua’s extensive experience and deep understanding of the healthcare industry will be crucial as Glytec gears up for rapid growth in the face of rising demand for its Glucommander® software.

Cua Bio/Background

With over three decades of leadership experience in healthcare, Cua brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to Glytec. His previous roles at organizations ranging from startups to Fortune 500 companies, coupled with his involvement in numerous healthcare mergers and acquisitions, will be invaluable as Glytec navigates its next phase of growth.

The Critical Need for Glycemic Management in Hospitals

One-third of hospitalized patients require insulin therapy, and ineffective glycemic management can lead to severe complications, increased hospital stays, and higher costs. Glytec’s Glucommander® software helps hospitals address this critical challenge by providing data-driven tools for optimizing insulin dosing and improving patient outcomes.

“Glytec is an early innovator for inpatient glycemic management SaaS and has built and maintained a reputation as the trusted partner for healthcare providers,” said Cua. “We have an incredible opportunity ahead of us to scale and establish Glucommander as the standard of care for every healthcare facility and health system in the country. I’m excited to grow the organization and scale its technology through this transformative time, not just for Glytec, but also for healthcare and the diabetes technology industry.”

“The need for Glytec’s solution is massive,” noted Cua, “and with new and increasing hospital and Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) focus on electronic clinical quality measures (eCQMs) to lower costs and reduce adverse events, the time to act is now.”
