Paving the Way to Accelerate Transformative Advancements in Healthcare
“Sheba is a global leader in innovation. In addition to the health system’s commitment to transformation, it has worked hard to spread ripples of change through the creation of ARC,” said Daryl Tol, Head of Health Assurance Ecosystem at General Catalyst. “We are like-minded agents of change and believers in radical collaboration. We’re excited to continue to build a movement around innovation in healthcare and acknowledge that stronger together is a global truth.”
The partnership agreement encompasses four key modules designed to accelerate transformative advancements in healthcare: strategic collaboration to expedite Sheba’s digital transformation, co-creation of innovative solutions aligned with shared priorities, shared investment opportunities in General Catalyst’s and in ARC’s portfolio companies, and an innovation sandbox for testing and refining cutting-edge solutions. These modules will bring significant benefits to patients and the healthcare industry by helping to revolutionize the way healthcare is delivered.
General Catalyst has a strong track record of commitment to healthcare investment and innovation, including the launch of its $670 million Health Assurance Fund II in July 2022. The firm has also made notable investments in Israeli companies, such as AI-based software maker Aidoc, which was developed at Sheba, fintech outfit Rapyd, gaming startup Superplay, and cybersecurity startup Apiiro.
