Drchrono, Nimblr Partner to Automate Two-Way Texting for Patients and Practices

Mobile EHR provider drchrono, today announced a new partnership with Nimblr, developers of Holly, an Artificial Intelligence (AI) assistant who automates healthcare appointments in sync with a practice’s practice management platform.

Holly is the first AI virtual assistant focused on front desk tasks for a physician’s practice, and through its integration with drchrono, will give healthcare providers using the practice management platform two-way conversational texting between practices and its patients. Providers can now automatically text back and forth with their patients, a breakthrough for the healthcare industry that has historically relied on one-way texting, email and phone communication with patients.

This new integration between drchrono and Nimblr offers healthcare providers a better way to immediately coordinate patient confirmations, cancellations, rescheduling and no-shows from within their drchrono practice calendar.

For example, Holly goes beyond reminders, allowing patients to choose a new appointment slot for rescheduling within the same text conversation, receiving an automatic reply from their provider, among many other features.  This can all be done without installing a new app; practices using drchrono along with their patients automatically have access to this new two-way texting capability.

“Leveraging drchrono’s cloud capabilities, we are delivering an easy and affordable virtual assistant in benefit of their healthcare providers. Holly has a true impact on a practice’s bottom line through improvement of patient attendance and practice productivity. Perhaps most importantly, we’ve found that patients love texting with Holly, managing their appointments in a friendly, convenient way. It’s a win for both the practice and the patient.”

“Holly is a great timesaver and has decreased the amount of no-shows and forgotten appointments significantly,” said Adam Siegel, M.D., Owner of Modern Foot and Ankle Podiatry in a statement. “Our patients love the interaction, since most similar services do not comprehend responses–something the less-tech-savvy crowd finds frustrating. Holly pairs incredibly well with drchrono and keeps our practice running smoothly.”
