Zynx Health Unveils FHIR API to Deliver Evidence-Based Content for Enhanced Care

Zynx Health, a provider of evidence- and experience-based clinical improvement solutions has launched the availability of Zynx Health API, which provides access to Zynx content in the Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR) standard format. The Zynx Health API enables solution developers to easily integrate evidence-based clinical content across the patient care journey, driving improved clinical and financial outcomes

As healthcare moves to risk-based alternative payment models that emphasize outcomes, clinicians in all care settings require ready access to evidence-based content to ensure the delivery of consistent and standardized care throughout the patient journey. The Zynx Health API extends the availability of Zynx Health’s award-winning evidence-based content throughout the healthcare ecosphere, from ambulatory care settings, to post-acute care, homecare, and more. At its core, the API enables multiple platforms to access the most clinically accurate and relevant care guidance including analytics applications, financial applications, clinical quality improvement, and workflow applications. Additionally, the API will ensure the right clinical guidance across all tools to enable interoperability of applications and care settings.

“Zynx is taking a lead in our industry to make sure that current clinical content is available using the FHIR standard – a developer-friendly framework that holds great promise for revolutionizing data sharing in healthcare,” said Kevin Daly, president of Zynx Health in a statement. “We dedicate thousands of hours each year to ensuring that our customers have the most current clinical content. Now we can make this same content more accessible to organizations working to advance population health initiatives and improve care quality through better awareness and adherence to evidence-based standards.”

By integrating the Zynx FHIR API, third-party solution developers can facilitate the connection of a wide variety of clinical platforms and pave the way for innovative applications of Zynx Health’s evidence-based content. The API also allows multiple platforms to access the most clinically accurate and relevant care guidelines to enhance user workflows, drive clinical quality improvements, and expand analytics and financial capabilities. Thus, patients will receive the right care regardless of the platform, setting, or user. For example, physician orders, post-acute care plans, and health system analytics will all have access to the same clinical pathways, ensuring consistency between care, coordination, and reporting.
