Vidyo, a provider of embedded interactive video communications for telehealth is launching new clinical design services, called VirtualDesign. VirtualDesign’s service is comprised of a proven repeatable framework for telehealth program design and is complemented by live coaching from experts with years of experience and expertise in building and deploying successful telehealth programs.
Why VirtualDesign?
Healthcare providers look to drive clinical efficiencies through telehealth programs across the care continuum but often run into challenges. Based on its experience in working more than 120 healthcare organizations, Vidyo recognizes that the primary challenge is the healthcare organization’s ability to successfully integrate these programs into their existing clinical operations and workflows.
Approach & Timeline
As part of the VirtualDesign services, VirtualDesign consultants provide Vidyo customers with a formalized and guided process that defines all the components required for a successful and sustainable program design and implementation. The VirtualDesign service can take anywhere from 1 day to several weeks depending on the size of the organization, program reach and, the target population.
“Many of our healthcare partners have passionate care givers who know their business inside and out but often find integrating telehealth programs into their operations challenging because ‘they don’t know what they don’t know,’” said Mark Noble, Vidyo vice president of telehealth business development in a statement. “Vidyo is looking to close the knowledge gap for care providers to help them shorten the time from concept to clinical practice. VirtualDesign will allow quicker deployment of cost saving telehealth programs that will lead to better patient outcomes via a proven design frame work with expert coaching from people who have built successful programs.”
Wendy Deibert Appointed as Vice President of Clinical Services
As part of the VirtualDesign launch, Vidyo has appointed registered nurse and telehealth visionary and expert, Wendy Deibert to lead the new clinical design services program as the vice president of clinical services. Prior to joining Vidyo, Deibert was one of the original architects and leaders of the Mercy Virtual telehealth programs, and later as the managing consultant of the VirtualEngine.
“I’m thrilled to join an organization that invests in the success of its customers and has the vision to take steps necessary to accelerate the adoption of telehealth,” said Deibert. “Frequently, care providers put a lot of effort and focus on getting the technology in place, but are unsure of how to go about integrating it with clinical operations. Vidyo has developed a framework and tool kit to help telehealth program managers plan and execute an integrated approach. This will help ensure that the program is embraced and supported by the broader organization, leading to more efficient operations and faster adoption.”
