MediPortal, a patient centric, untethered PHR exchange system that provides a secure aggregated view of health and fitness data, enabling patients, providers and payors to securely communicate, view and share information that will lead to healthier outcomes has joined the National Association for Trusted Exchange (NATE).
The National Association for Trusted Exchange (NATE) is a not-for-profit membership association focused on enabling trusted exchange among organizations and individuals with differing regulatory environments and exchange preferences.
As a growing population of consumers are taking charge of their health, they are faced with a new form of data fragmentation caused by an overgrowth in EHR-tethered patient portals. MediPortal understands that the health industry is changing fast, and it can be difficult to manage all of these new bits of information. MediPortal tools help consumers and patients better understand these changes so that they can insightfully apply and manage their medical and fitness information, enhancing their own health journey.
“We believe that consumers are at the center of healthcare reform and should have access to their information in a clear and complete format,” said Anand Prabhu, Founder and CEO of MediPortal. “We are eager to expand our reach by forging this new partnership with the National Association for Trusted Exchange. We believe joining NATE will help us to further our progress exponentially, and more importantly, help us provide simple solutions to problems that consumers and patients face today. Our membership in NATE will help us not only realize the most from what is available today but help to bridge what will be possible in the future.”
