drchrono, a mobile EHR platform on the iPad, iPhone, Apple Watch and web, announced today that it has partnered with digital health marketplace ZocDoc. The new integration will give medical professionals using the two digital health platforms a more seamless experience by syncing their calendars and EHRs directly with ZocDoc’s patient-facing platform.
Both drchrono and ZocDoc have been credited with innovative and forward-thinking approaches to improving healthcare – ZocDoc, from the patient’s perspective; and drchrono, from the provider’s. The new partnership is a model of digital health openness between two complementary companies and is a great benefit to many players in the healthcare ecosystem.
“I use both ZocDoc and drchrono,” said Robert Sek, CEO of Total Men’s Medical. “Having the patient’s medical information in our EHR ahead of time is extremely beneficial to have and review before a patient’s appointment.”
Physicians on the drchrono platform serve more than 5.9 million patients. ZocDoc covers 60 percent of the U.S. population and helps millions of patients every month find in-network neighborhood doctors, instantly book appointments online, see what other real patients have to say, get reminders for upcoming appointments and preventive check-ups, fill out their paperwork online, and more.
“The drchrono-ZocDoc partnership will ultimately help streamline critical parts of the healthcare experience for physicians and medical professionals,” said drchrono co-founder Daniel Kivatinos in a statement.
