eClinicalWorks®, a leading ambulatory EHR provider is pumping $30 million in India to build a new data center and expand its footprint in India, reports The Hindu BusinessLine. The company currently employs 1,000 associates in India and plans to develop a new mobile app that provides a search portal matching doctors with patients and book appointments. Doctors using the app can diagnose symptoms and check for drug to drug interference to avoid reactions between medicines prescribed to patients. To date, eClinicalWorks has signed 40 large hospitals and 20 independent physicians on its EHR platform in India.
The company recently expanded its global footprint to the UK market and has inked a deal with Specsavers, an eye-care service provider that offers its services in over 1,700 stores across 10 countries. To support its growth in the UK, the company also announced it is opening a new office in London. During the past year, eClinicalWorks has secured $100 million in international business and this expansion is the latest in eClinicalWorks’ overall strategy for growth.
