67 percent of Healthcare CIOS in the UK select electronic patient records and mobile health solution technologies as top priorities for the next 12 months, according to a recent industry report by Healthcare IT Exchange. The report investigates the key themes that are resonating with healthcare IT leaders today.
Ahead of the 4th annual Healthcare IT Exchange, IQPC Exchange conducted research among its network of Healthcare CIOs and Heads of IM&T from the NHS and private healthcare organizations to discover the current top challenges and priorities for healthcare IT leaders.
Other key findings include:
- 65 percent plan to invest in IT infrastructure
- 59 percent of respondents are planning to review and upgrade their portal technologies
- 49 percent of respondents are planning to focus on clinical information systems
- 47 percent choose wireless technology followed by virtualization (43 percent) and capitalizing on legacy systems (33 percent)
