What You Should Know:

–       Parents and guardians will now have quick access to certified family care providers for their children’s health care needs though Amazon One Medical Pay-per-visit.

–       The telehealth service can help treat pink eye, lice, and over ten common skin-related issues like eczema, bug bites, contact dermatitis, fungal rashes, and more for children ages 2 to 11. This service will also cover EpiPen and asthma medication renewals.

Amazon Expands One Medical Pay-Per-Visit to Include Children’s Conditions

Amazon has expanded its One Medical Pay-per-visit program to make quality pediatric care more accessible and affordable for families. Designed for convenience and flexibility, the service allows parents to connect with board-certified family physicians or licensed nurse practitioners without needing insurance, Prime, or One Medical memberships.

Message-based visits start at $29, while video consultations cost $49, each including a personalized treatment plan and prescriptions when necessary—fulfilled through Amazon Pharmacy or any preferred pharmacy.

“As a parent, I know what it’s like to take a sick child to urgent care and wait over an hour for a ten-minute consultation,” said Bergen Elsa, General Manager of Amazon One Medical Pay-per-visit. “Our goal is to help families connect with trusted care providers anytime, day or night, saving time and money while providing peace of mind.”

How the Service Works

Parents or guardians can explore treatable conditions on health.amazon.com and create an Amazon Health minor profile to manage their child’s care. The process involves:

  1. Completing a short intake form with the child’s medical history and symptoms.
  2. Connecting with a board-certified clinician via message or video.
  3. Receiving a follow-up treatment plan, including prescriptions if needed.

Payments can be made via credit card, FSA, or HSA, making the platform ideal for families without insurance or those choosing to pay out-of-pocket for occasional healthcare needs.

Conditions Covered

The program currently treats common childhood ailments such as:

  • Pink eye, head lice, and a variety of skin conditions including eczema, impetigo, contact dermatitis, ringworm, hand-foot-and-mouth disease, fifth disease, roseola, bug bites, poison ivy, and diaper rash.
  • Medication renewals for EpiPens and asthma inhalers are also available.

For families seeking ongoing pediatric or family care, One Medical clinics across the U.S. offer in-person and remote visits that can be billed to insurance.

One Medical membership provides enhanced access—24/7 video chats, secure messaging, and same-day appointments—for $99/year or $9/month for Prime members ($199 annually via OneMedical.com).

In essence, Amazon’s Pay-per-visit service offers a simple, affordable solution for families seeking trusted, on-demand pediatric care without the complexity of insurance or subscriptions.
