What You Should Know:

– Hinge Health and Cigna Healthcare today announced a new collaboration designed to broaden access to digital musculoskeletal (MSK) care solutions for more Americans.

– Under this arrangement, Cigna Healthcare’s self-insured employer clients now have the option to offer Hinge Health’s comprehensive digital MSK platform to their plan members.

Offering a Comprehensive Digital MSK Care Platform

The Hinge Health platform provides an integrated approach to managing joint and muscle conditions. Key components include:

  • Guided exercise therapy programs.
  • Real-time exercise guidance technology for proper form.
  • A wearable device specifically for pain relief.
  • Dedicated support from Doctors of Physical Therapy.
  • Ongoing guidance from board-certified health coaches.

This digital solution can also be integrated and paired with Cigna Healthcare’s existing Pathwell Bone & Joint Solution, offering a coordinated approach to MSK health management.

Meeting Demand for Accessible, Affordable MSK Solutions

This collaboration aims to address the significant need for convenient and effective MSK care options that help individuals manage pain and improve function. “This collaboration with Cigna Healthcare underscores the pressing demand for MSK solutions that improve access to quality, affordable care,” said Jim Pursley, President of Hinge Health. “By working together, we can help more people overcome their pain, recover faster, and avoid unnecessary procedures, all while reducing overall healthcare costs for employers and health plans.” The partnership provides individuals access to comprehensive MSK support whenever and wherever they need it.

Streamlined Access and Integration for Employers

For Cigna Healthcare’s self-insured clients choosing to enroll, the collaboration offers significant advantages. They benefit from simplified contracting processes, expedited onboarding for quicker implementation, and streamlined billing procedures. These efficiencies make integrating the Hinge Health platform into their Cigna Pathwell Bone & Joint program and other benefits offerings a smoother process. With this new relationship, Hinge Health is now the preferred digital MSK partner for the five largest national health plans in the U.S. based on self-insured lives.
