What You Should Know:

– Aclarion, Inc., a healthcare technology company specializing in chronic low back pain (cLBP) diagnostics, today announced a commercial agreement with Scripps Health, a healthcare system in San Diego, California.

– The partnership will bring Aclarion’s innovative Nociscan platform to Scripps Health, providing physicians with a new tool to identify the source of cLBP and improve patient care.

Nociscan Platform to Aid Physicians in Identifying the Source of Pain

Chronic low back pain is a significant global health problem, affecting approximately 266 million people worldwide. Aclarion’s Nociscan is the first evidence-supported SaaS platform that non-invasively helps physicians pinpoint the source of pain in the lumbar spine. By objectively quantifying chemical biomarkers associated with disc pain, Nociscan provides valuable insights to guide treatment decisions and improve patient outcomes.

Key benefits Nociscan include:

Non-invasive: The platform utilizes a non-invasive approach to identify the source of pain, reducing the need for more invasive procedures.

Objective Measurement: Provides objective, quantitative data on chemical biomarkers associated with disc pain, enhancing diagnostic accuracy.

Improved Diagnosis: Helps physicians differentiate between painful and non-painful discs in the lumbar spine, leading to more targeted treatment plans.

Enhanced Patient Care: By accurately identifying the source of pain, Nociscan enables personalized treatment strategies and improved patient outcomes.

“Each year at Scripps, we evaluate a large, growing number of patients suffering from chronic low back pain,” said Robert Eastlack, MD, Orthopedic Surgeon, Scripps Health. “I have a keen interest in advanced diagnostics and clinical decision support tools like Nociscan. Over the last few years, I have referred numerous patients to Beverly Hills for Nociscan. The additional information unique from Nociscan has been valuable to me and my patients. Having Nociscan available at Scripps Green will greatly expand access to my colleagues and our patients in important ways.”
