What You Should Know:

– More than 4,000 healthcare professionals and staff from across the nation attended the 2024 eClinicalWorks and healow National Conference, where eClinicalWorks®, the largest ambulatory cloud EHR, unveiled a series of transformative AI-powered enhancements and solutions designed to optimize practice and provider efficiency.

– eClinicalWorks and healow® also announced their expected growth, with a projected record-high $1 billion in revenue in 2024 compared to $917 million in 2023.

eClinicalWorks Unveils Advanced AI Solutions at Annual Conference

At its latest conference, eClinicalWorks showcased a range of innovative, AI-driven solutions, designed to enhance efficiency, improve patient experiences, and streamline operations across healthcare practices. Key announcements include:

– AI for Revenue Cycle Management (RCM): New AI-driven RCM tools aim to optimize end-to-end billing for healthcare practices, replacing traditional RCM services and improving operational efficiency.

– Enhanced Insurance and Billing Processes: AI-powered functionalities in insurance eligibility verification and EOB (Explanation of Benefits) conversion to ERA (Electronic Remittance Advice) bring substantial time savings to both front-office and back-office operations.

– Automated Appeals Process: The new AI automation for generating appeal letters reduces administrative burden, accelerating the appeals process with improved accuracy and consistency, which aids organizations in managing denials more effectively.

– Deep Search for Financial Data: A deep search capability enables users to easily access information related to claims, account collections, and payments.

– AI Analytics with Conversational Dashboards: With natural language-driven AI analytics, users can create interactive dashboards, engaging in conversational queries with the analytics engine.

Transformative Patient Engagement Solutions

– healow Genie: As the first fully EHR-integrated, AI-powered contact center solution, healow Genie provides 24/7/365 support via voice call, text, or chatbot, answering patient questions in natural language and automating appointment, prescription, and referral management. Genie also provides after-hours support with next-day follow-up options, improving patient engagement, satisfaction, and operational cost efficiency.

Value-Based Care and Patient Experience Enhancements

– AI for Value-Based Care (VBC): Through eClinicalWorks CIPHER, providers gain access to a consolidated value-based scorecard, allowing them to track quality, risk, coding, and cost metrics all in one panel, integrating payer and EHR information through CommonWell and Carequality.

– Streamlined Patient Experience: Innovations for an improved patient experience include an expedited check-in process, an AI-powered no-show reduction model, card-on-file capabilities, and streamlined insurance eligibility checks to facilitate patient access.

Sunoh.ai and Multilingual Capabilities

– Sunoh.ai AI Medical Scribe: The revolutionary Sunoh.ai scribe, now with multilingual support in English, Portuguese, and Spanish (with additional languages in progress), aims to alleviate physician burnout and enhance patient care by queuing relevant questions for providers during encounters.

Following the introduction of multiple AI functionalities last year, including Generative AI, Image AI, and an AI-powered no-show prediction model, eClinicalWorks continues to lead the way in AI-driven EHR solutions, transforming patient care across practices nationwide. These new announcements further underscore eClinicalWorks’ commitment to pioneering AI solutions that drive operational efficiency, enhance patient engagement, and support value-based care initiatives.

“After 25 years, our mission remains true and simple: improve healthcare together. We are committed to transforming the healthcare industry with cutting-edge AI-driven technology with a patient-centric approach,” said Girish Navani, CEO and cofounder of eClinicalWorks. “We believe that by working together and leveraging these groundbreaking AI enhancements, we can improve patient outcomes, reduce physician burnout, and transform the patient experience.”
